[RBW] Touring click in shoes without using the click in on platforms/rat traps feasable?

2014-07-01 Thread blueride2
They would work just fine, but you'd be paying a premium in price and weight. I gave up SPD shoes, cleats and pedals a while ago. I use platform pedals (, Thin Gripsters, and King Grips) with sandals. So far, I haven't, missed SPDs at all. My pedal stroke is just fine. Good luck with finding

Cost per mile, as Jan states, is the key. For the amount of riding I do ( retired and loving it) I'll pay the extra for the lightweight Hetres. I also have a set of the Compass 38mm Leger tires on the Homer, and on the Boulder Road Sport, a set of 32mm Leger tires. Lightweight, supple, and

Does Stans really work well inside tubes? Seems to me, to be effective, sealant needs air to harden and seal. I know Stans works well in tubeless tires and rims, I've tried it, but inside tubes I'm not so sure. Richard -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google

No flats in maybe 500 miles on the Hetres. I did have a flat yesterday on the GB Cypres tires. I have about 1100 miles on the Cypres and have had 2-3 flats. It was no fun changing a flat in 35 degree weather, but this is the price we pay. I have a bad habit of overinflating my tires which

I'm using the Conti Speed tires that Rivendell sells. Its hard to beat the Grande Bois tires that Compass sells, but I was pleasantly surprised by the Conti Speed tires. I think they measure out to be around 38mm, and fit my Homer nicely. I'm riding them on dirt roads and am happy with them.
