Thanks. All of this retrospective effort to turn this wonderful bike into a sort of integrated (integrating racks, wiring, fenders) fun to ride but useful errand bike has shown me concretely that so integrating a bike requires a lot more than simply knowing what you'd like it to do and a lot more

Am I misunderstanding something? It looks to me like you've got the fenders reversed: Front fender mounted on rear wheel, and vice versa. At least that's the way my 700c Honjos lay out; otherwise, the rear fender isn't long enough to install a fender-mount light. Granted, undoing all that work
