Based on this thread, I ordered a Rivendell Bicycle Works mug (made by Red
Wing Stoneware).
It's terrific and easily my favorite mug... even moreso than the ones with
my family pix on them. Yes, it is pricey, since you can get a working mug
from a garage sale or GoodWill for a few bucks at
Rivelo will have some Thursday. If you live in Portland, swing by and grab
one.

Welp, I just bought one. Got an email notification last night that they
were in. Can't wait to be sipping coffee out of it.

I just noticed that while browsing the site, came to the board to pass the
word, and see you beat me by an hour. One's in my cart and will be coming
to me as soon as I figure out what needs to keep it company on its trip
cross-country.

I got a notification that the mugs are back. Since mine have shipped, I
think it is safe to let everyone else know they are available.

Sure. Here is a stainless mug image I found with a quick search.
It should be possible to add lugs at the top and bottom of the handle.
Is a lugged mug possible? Call it a luggle muggle??? Make it distinctly Riv.

I had seen this mug on the website, but wouldn't have spent $30 for a mug
for my self. A gift for a friend, no problem! However when I saw how nice
it was, I sprung for a gift for my self and it sounds like I might have
gotten the last one. I noticed something in the wording between the
+1. I have no use for a Rivendell coffee mug, but I'd buy a Rivendell beer
tankard, as long as it were big enough for the normal, righteous,
human-scale serving, the British or Imperial Pint, 19 oz and a bit. At
least.

I’m in for a couple.
Or if they wanted to do a lightweight camping one I’d spring for a couple of
those.
Pre-order of course.

This is disappointing news to me too. I was planning to buy a pair with my Hail
Mary funds, but held off on spending them so they could make use of the money.
I wonder what their minimum order was.

Bummer. I thought maybe they were temporarily out of stock while Grant
designed a longer-handled version (seems weird and controversial now, but
soon all the mug makers will come around--better leverage, smoother sipping
experience.) And one for lefties. I even heard a rumor he was searching

If they do make some more mugs, I'll buy two or even four. I missed out on
them.

Class action prepaid order? Love it! This has been a fun thread.
Suffice to say, I heard from Spencer at Riv and it does indeed appear that
we may have reached the end of the mug line. They require a high minimum
order and apparently took a long time to sell. In other words, be very,

I looked to order a mug two days ago and searched all over the site and

item disappeared without a photo remaining and an “out of stock” notation. I
almost bought one when I was ordering a bunch of stuff during the

The answer would be yes, I do have one, and though beautiful and great, it
is slightly smaller than my coffee habit needs.
Used three times for coffee and tea... Would be cleaned and wrapped and
shipped carefully.
I will say $25 shipped but I
