I bunny hop up to go down off a curb.

Sometimes. Not always. These days many are coming with the

Honjo fenders are free of any holes so installation preference can allow

I have Berthoud fenders on three bikes. I also have hammered Honjos on
another bike. I prefer the Berthouds - I think they look nicer, and the
struts are definitely superior to any others that I've seen. If you ride
off a kerb, the Berthoud mudflap folds up out of the way without any
damage.
I would speculate that the honjo hammered pattern “dents” make the hammered
version strong like pressed stiffener troughs do for sheet metal.

Perhaps it's the work hardening -- though are those really hammered, or
just pressed? -- that made my hammered Honjos more resistant to dents than
the Berthoud stainless ones; at least, that's my recollection.

I too have the hammered Honjos on my Rambouillet. Conceptually the
hammering gives both some 3D structure and work hardening to allow less
material and lighter weight of them. They have been pretty resilent but I
did replace an earlier set bent enough out of shape from being rear-ended

Longboards (35,45) are listed by SKS as 689g. Not sure if 35 or 45 width.

So my size berts are lighter than my current 45mm longboards.
Now just have to think about are Honjos worth it for any
I have them on more than one bike and will probably put them on another
soon. Weight to me is a moot point. If I were concerned about that I'd lose
a couple pounds of body fat. Easy to set up, look good and maintenance
free. I like'em.

I used them and they were nice but heavier to no real benefit than aluminum
fenders. I like the Berthoud mounting struts best because they sit almost
flush on the fender. I use Berthoud struts with VO fenders to help minimize
toe overlap.
