Those B356 M bars look great! I'm VERY interested in those to use on my Trek 400 commuter / dirt / toodle-arounder. Here's another idea: get a longer DirtDrop stem and mount some "North Road" style bars upside down... kinda like this:

So, I am not sure why the Boscos didn't work ("too flexy"), but that is what I used when the Albatross was too far a reach. Looking at the bike, I wonder if the shorter stem with the Boscos would work. But, I don't know if that will create a bike sufficiently different from your other bikes...
