Hands behind steering axis: With Albatross bars and 8(?) cm stem at max height on my Sam the steering felt just as good as with drops with 8 cm stem. Smooth and stable. Standing climbing holding the bar ends on the grips was same. Excellent control and leverage. Never used a longer stem though.

Thanks Ryan! On the Atlantis I'm actually using a Brooks leather mudflap because I had it and like it in brown. On the Hunqapillar, I actually had the Berthoud in black; it's even thicker and larger than the Brooks. Fit well with the 60mm Berthoud fenders I had on it, but I think it's overkill. Th
