Not quite a M-Bar but the Nitto Randonneer drop bar is a 25.4 MTB diameter. It is a drop bar with a very shallow drop and flaring ends so that your wrist can rest agains the ramp of of the bar while in the drops. They also come back towards you on top like the Noodle bar. Because they are a 25.4

I use Tektro RX4.1 reverse brake levers on my (deliberately upside down) Moustache bars on my Quickbeam. I love the setup and it works very well. I use it mainly for commuting and having the bars upside down raises them and makes it easier to cycle in traffic. Here's the bars http://bit.ly/98Mh8L

My measuring would be moot, now that we know they fit. Thanks, Damian. Oh, and I certainly would *not* assume that a 25.4 bar works with mountain levers. Presumably the 25.4 is mm and describes clamp diameter; that's independent of the diameter of the main body of the bar. For example, I believe

The 1992 B'stone catalog explains the differences between the 26.0/ X0-1bars and the 25.4/X0-2 bars: http://www.sheldonbrown.com/bridgestone/1992/1992.pdf (go to page 36 of the PDF). It looks like the XO-2 bars are simply a swept-back upright of the same general type as the nitto albatross/

The yeah, a lot of bars get called north road which was the raleigh name for that style if i remember correctly. The ones i used were the ones that Harris sells: http://www.sheldonbrown.com/harris/handlebars/index.html (you have to scroll down to the north road bars). I used them mounted with

I'm with Blindrobert on this one. But most bar-end brakes need road bar size tubing - unless the bar's been bored out. http://www.flickr.com/photos/55586...@n00/4847628750/in/photostream/ Of course if you're running bar-end shifters then this won't work. Phil B Sonoma County -- You received

I am not sure how I feel about the city brake levers. I am surprised that no one makes a standard looking mountain bike brake lever for a road bar diameter. I guess there isn't much need for something like that. I could probably try and find an old set of bars from a Bridgestone. On Sep 5,

You need a model that is 7/8 or 22.2 mm in diameter to fit tourist or mtb type brake levers and shifters, not the 23.8 mm or 15/16 road bar diameter. (Note that these diameters are different from the clamp diameters which, historically, have been respectively 25.4 mm and 26.0 mm -- mostly. I
