And if you want a trusted name, the Nitto is about the only choice for what you want. I'm defining trusted as made in house by someone with a good reputation. All of the VO, IRD, Dimension etc. etc. , are made by a third party to their specs. this does not necessarily mean anything though,

Have a Nitto threadless stem in my parts bin. It's beautiful and really well made. Unfortunately, don't have a bike right now where it would be the ideal stem. The bike it was on now has a 31.8 handlebar. As to the Thomson - I've used them in the past. Will warn you, if you torque the bolts
