Yeah, I pile on the layers in MD in the 20's-40's, and still get chilly.
Doesn't make for fun, free, and easy riding with all those layers. I need to
move to warmer climes for year round riding. Too cold for me.
Cannot fathom staying warm overnight camping in those temps.

Thanks Hugh. Actually the coldest I've camped in is -35C, which is -31F.
That was so...brutally...cold. I was pretty green in terms of winter
camping then, I think I'd be better prepared to handle that now. Pretty
much anything warmer than -20C/-4F is pretty straight forward now, and a
ton of fun!

You're intrepid. I was in a conversation yesterday with a fellow and he was
remarking how cold it was! I exclaimed it wasn't that cold, he said when he
leaves for work it's in the 40's and I mentioned that I knew of a guy who
winter bike camps in 15ºF. I thought you'd done this same type

people thinking about snow camping; more adventerous souls
