Sorry for the slow response, but thanks for the kind words Tom. It's an
FSA Comet crankset / BB with external bearings, which uses an annoyingly
rare chainring interface - but I discovered through internet sleuthing that
it is the same as a Cannondale spec, which Wolf Tooth makes a spider
Jason,
Very nice build. What bb, bb width, and chainring do you have there? Your
seat post must be maxed out - is that the 300mm S65?

Not designed for it, but I for one (and others I know of) have run 650b on 26”
frames with no real problems, other than higher bb/slightly reduced tire
clearance. Even the cheapest Shimano b brakes have plenty of vertical
adjustment to make such a thing happen. So, not “authorised” but likely
Nope. That's a 26-inch wheeler.

Thanks for the input everyone!
Last question about the Clem. Can I run 650b/27.5 on the 45cm? I already
have a bunch of tires and 27.5 is kind of a sweet spot for me. I assume
even with 27.5s, I’d have clearance for a 2.0 mob tire.

John_C - I highly, highly recommend going with the 45. The 52 is massive,
much larger than a 52 has any right being. I am 5'8.5" with s 30.5" inseam
and I fit the 45 quite well. It'll be perfect for you. With a Billie /
Bosco you'll want a longer stem but it'll overall fit MUCH better in my

I’ll get it there but would probably have gone with a 45 in hindsight.

John C,
You're about my height, maybe a smidge shorter, so the 52 is a definite maybe.
I need a bolt-upright style and my 52 H was too stretched out for me with the
stock Boscos/12cm stem setup. Whether it would work for you depends a lot on
how much forward lean you prefer.

I'm curios about the 52 myself. I'm 5'6 and about a 29" inseam. Thinking of
setting up with a Billie or Bosco to bring the reach back. 52 sound about
right?

Ah, yep, spot on. I just sold my 52 H to a guy same dimensions and it looked
like it was built custom for him.

The 52 would be perfect. She’s 5’-10” with a 88.7 PBH...long femurs. She rides
a 58 Sam now, and has ridden my 59 Clem H, but it’s a hair too long.

Oops - right Joe, $750 for the 45s. Thanks 拉
Trying to talk my wife into one of the 52s ... Slap some Switchback Hills on
there and it’d be like driving a Cadillac.

$750 for the 45s, just so people don't get their receipt and think something
went wrong. Which is still a crazy price for a great frame.
If you're in the market pay close attention to the current geometry page and
ignore the height recs on the Clem pages, the 45cm has more toptube length than
Right, and the 45s are on sale for ***$700*** which is just crazy. The
52s and 59s are $900 apiece, but still such a friggin' bargain, I can't
believe they're still available.

They are indeed wonderful bikes. I have a 64 H and love it.
Those of lesser leg length should definitely seize the opportunity to get
one!
