Well Patrick, my ride yesterday was nothing like yours, but I did enjoy it immensely. It featured one of my favorite short loops through Vermont's back roads -paved, dirt and gravel - with woods and rolling farms. Utterly beautiful. It is only 17+ miles but does include 1100+ feet of climbing.
