No doubt the WI track hubs are well worth considering. There are more discriminators between White and Phil than just preload adjustment. White probably lighter than Phil. White mounts with hex bolts on the axels, you’ll want a peanut butter wrench in your patch kit, and have to slide your rear

I've built a number of quill rims up for Riv's. They're way stiffer (that's a good thing) than A23 rims, more stable under high tension, and generally ride and track better. Make sure you get machined sidewalls. The polished finish is pricey but gorgeous. If you don't already have PW hubs,

I concur with S about the Mavic A319's. They come in silver and I my wheels are 36 spoke with 1.8/2.0/1.8 double butted DT spokes. Since I weigh 275-280lbs they really hold their true and have not let me down. I believe that they are a wonderful value at about $55 per hoop. Available in
