I found a long time ago with Sackville trunk bag zippers, they don't rattle
if you join them at the side of the bag rather than at the back/front.
Anywhere you're having a rattle can usually be solved with a piece of
rubber or leather applied tactically.

A great substance I use for all kinds of fixes and optimizations: Sugru. It's
like play-doh that cures into rubber after a day. I've used to enhance zipper
pulls and provide a cushion where my wald basket wants to strike my frame.

Hey Jeff,
Two things that have worked in the past:
1) For a creaky basket, try using clear plastic hosing in between the rack
and basket at a few strategic points. I usually just go to the hardware
store and buy a few feet of the hosing - I cut it to the length of the
section of the rack,
Twine the pulls, then shellac 'em.

There a way to silence those jingling pulls by weaving some light cord through
all the apertures available. Backpack companies do it all the time. I'll post a
photo tomorrow.

1. Try a leather zipper pull.
2. wrap the joints with cotton handlebar tape before zip tying.
With abandon,
