I concur that it’s older than a ’93. My wife and I bought ours when we got
married in 1993, and the graphics are different and it has 700s. The only
things on ours that are different from stock are the seats, tires,

Thanks Patrick! The bike rides very nicely. We have only sampled two tandems
so it's hard to be very authoritative... The size seems very good which is
hugely important. I can easily and safely take one hand off the bars to adjust
or grab the water bottle without much thought for stability
I think that's older than a 93. My 93 Burley Duet came with a 700c
wheelset. I replaced the rear wheel with a Shimano HF-08/Sun Rhyno Lite/DT
Swiss Alpine wheel, have 9 speed 12-36 with Deore M-591 rear derailer and
Microshift R9 brifters. Also replaced front chainrings with new
Stronglight
You definitely could be right about the age... I've not found alot of good
information about years and product listings for Burley. On my ride today we
did have a great conversation with a couple who recognized the burley and told
us about touring the world with their kids on a pair of burley
