9 sp Microshift on 2 bikes, and never played any games to make them perfect - they just are. It's important moving up to larger cog to hold the shifter until the shift is complete, If you have a problem going the other way, it's because the shifter bolt is over-tightened. > I'm fairly sure

While I find the Microshifts less precise than the equivalent Shimano shifters, I think in practice they work fine. I've never had to "nudge the pulley" as you say in order to upshift. Occasionally a downshift requires a bit more of a nudge, but it isn't frequent. Most of the time I just use
