Jack, thanks so much for posting. I think we're all stunned and heartbroken
over the loss of Seth and doubly so that he seemed to be adding so much to
the world. Please keep us in the loop if there'll be any sort of memorial
fund for Seth. Whether it goes to bike advocacy, another of his passions,

Jack, thanks for sharing the update. Please keep us informed. If the
family decides on a memorial fund we will all want to know about it. If
you think it appropriate we would like to have a personal address to send
our love and support to his family.

You're welcome. Everything that folks here have noted is true. I know
Seth enjoyed the owners bunch quite a bit - conversations from this group
shifted to our lunch conversations on more than one occasion. And talking
about all of you was no different from talking about our IRL friends here
in
I had several pleasant and a few heated personal communications with Seth
over the years. He was obviously passionate about cycling. We had plans to
meet a few years ago at Richmond NAHBS, but some last minute something
prevented our meeting. I always figured I'd cross Seth's path eventually.
Tragic news. A reminder to live every day to the fullest.

If anyone confirms this and knows that he has family we can help out, please
let us know.

Just found out a reader from Durham was killed in a hit and run. RIP
I'm speechless, but if anyone else on the list knows Seth personally please
keep us informed. Remembering his posts he seemed like a pretty mellow
guy. I'm just back from a great ride and was about to post why I love my
Ram; now I don't have the heart for it.

His last tweet was about cycling: It isn't a contest. Just enjoy the
ride. Wise words. RIP, Seth.

Friends,
I am fortunate to have Seth as a real-world friend. And, your comments are
all spot-on - he's a great guy, an asset to all the communities in which he
lived, and a fun friend who will be sorely missed.
I am heading over to his house now to take dinner. I have printed your
kind words
So sad...
I'll be eying my rear view mirror a little more than usual this evening as I
ride home with Seth and his family in my heart.
Be careful out there...

Awful news.
Frustrating that they only charged the driver with felony hit and run and
not vehicular homicide. There was a hit and run that killed a bicyclist in
Minneapolis last week and that driver was charged with criminal vehicular
homicide -
How sad. Our thoughts are with Seth's family and friends.

Like most here, I only knew Seth through his posts and the pictures that
he shared. That's enough to understand that he was a great person. My
condolences to Seth's family and friends.
