I had a Rally on my brevet bike and it required a fair amount of overshift
to change cogs, but I got used to it. Gave me something to focus my attention
on during long rides. Like the Nuovo Record I had on a previous bike it shifted
marginally but I'm sure it would last for 20 years.
I was thinking asymptotally constrained but figured that was too
esoteric..never underestimate the depth of knowledge experience here.
