After my summer's three week stint in Eastern Washington I returned to Northern
California.

The Suntour Sprint, which the Silvers copied, came in the box with two
different thicknesses of flat washer that slides onto the boss right BEFORE
you slip the shifter onto the boss. There's a 'standard' thickness one, and
an extra one that is slightly thicker. Some bosses are a hair longer,
'Cogito ergo' kind of bugged me, but 'raising hbars and a ruckus...' more
than made up for it. My favorite shirt by a longshot. Pygmy mammoth makes
me want to barbecue some 'jumbo shrimp' for dinner, or maybe get a job in

Fish Rock is definitely on my to do list for rides in that area. A very
challenging ride would start in Boonville and head to the coast on Fish Rock,
returning by heading north on Hwy 1 to Hwy 128.

bar ends and down tube mounts. I finally replaced my modernish DuraAce
front (7800) road triple derailleur with an older XT circa 1989ish. Fixed
the slipping problem, and the shifter is smooth and light. Big difference.
