When I reverse the wheel, it sits pretty even in the middle, meaning i cant see a bias one way or the other. I’ll put this wheel in some other 135mm spaced bikes and see if it sits unevenly to one side. Im 99% positive that its in the dropouts correctly. Thanks for the help everyone!

Is the axle seating properly in both drop outs? I've run into similar head scratchers before realising the drop out was slightly pinched meaning the wheel wasn't sitting evenly. Also, try reversing the wheel (cassette body to non drive side of frame). See if it still ends up biased to the

There is no reason to guess or speculate. When you put a rear wheel into a frame and it's obviously off-center like that, the thing to do is put it in again, flipped over. If it's off to the RIGHT when you install the wheel correctly and then off to the LEFT when you put it in backwards,

Mike: The wheel in question should fit similarly in any other frame with same dropout spacing. If so, you can then just juggle some spacer / washers to center it. E.g., if it's 4 mm closer to one chainstay than the other, you need to move it 2 mm. It does seem odd that a wheel would be

My current plan is to go as simple as possible. One gear. One gear only. 38x20 which is 52.5” and see how I do with that. I know I do fine hauling a 200# trailer on 6% climbs on asphalt with it, not sure how I do hauling 50# of gear/food/water in panniers on single track at altitude. Grin.

I managed to successfully convert an old Atom 6sp 14-28 freewheel to a 15/17 dingle freewheel on an old 12 speed frame to make a poor man's Quickbeam. The 15t sits flush with the outer edge of the freewheel body and on a 126mm spaced hub the chainline worked out to pretty much match the 47.5
