Greetings, Phillip!
Your lone picture turns me green with envy. I s want to visit my
Mother Land on my Mother’s side, and hopefully ride there too.
I would have to agree with Ed and say that a Sam Hillborne is just the
thing. I have a 51cm with 650b Fatty Rumpkin tires and it’s a
Atlantis to the rescue, huh Michael? I believe that's what I'll do but need
to wait 'til September when frames arrive, ugh. Grandy and Doug, thanks SO
much for the feedback. I was heavily considering a Jones SWT but respect
Grandy's ride assessments. Atlantis it is then.
Merry Christmas
Opening this up for frameset only... $1500+shipping

The Chris King is beautiful, but I spend a lot of time coasting, and the
sound makes me crazy. I have a Heron road that I love

This is true of Carradice specifically, I've had a couple with comically
short straps that were a pain in the patooty to work with. Longer straps
are the ticket there, although this doesn't really matter for the OP.
Sackvilles fit Brooks and Berthoud.

Forgot to add that, hell, you don't even need loops, as long as your saddle
is high enough above your tire. I've carried 30 lb and heavier loads in
Carradices and Baggins and Sackville bags strapped directly to the rails of
my original edition Flites.
Note: Strapping bags to saddle rails means
FWIW, one can make most saddlebag straps work with most mounting loops, be
these integrated with the saddle or bolt on, simply by using longer straps.
I've done this umpteen times (umpteen comes after 19 and before 20). Toe
straps work well, at least leather ones, but there are all sorts of long,
Hi Ray, from what I understand of these the sleeve is removable for use
with a smaller ID bar, hence these are labeled as either ID 18 or 20mm. I
emailed Diatech and they replied that the ID 18 setup would work with the
18.6mm ID of the Tosco bar I was sent. If the sleeve is indeed removable
Hi Ray, from what I understand of these the sleeve is removable for use

These are the silver with brown model DC188 reverse pull levers.
Never mounted, complete with ferrules.
I get a measurement of 20mm.

The two Aravis in my possession have a spacing of 75mm between the insides
of the slots for the bag loops and 112mm between the outsides. On the B17
saddles I have, the same measurements are 96mm and 126mm. On a Rivet Pearl
saddle I have, the bag loops are spaced almost exactly the same
I picked up a pair of these last year in 700 x35:

Mild winter last year and I didn’t get to use them once! But last week I
slapped em on my single speed and rode them to work every day (through snow
and ice). I had a blast! They aren’t cheap,
Thanks all, I'm certainly very comfortable on a drop bar bike albeit I
spend about 90% of the time on the hoods. Many years & pounds ago I used to
indulge in a little road racing & currently both my bikes are really set up
too low (pure road machine is a CIOCC) for my aging body and part of
Paul - if you ride by the 5600 block of Swiss Ave. you'll see our old,
kitschy blow mold Santa display which our former neighbors have taken on.

No, the bag loops on a Berthoud saddle are spaced about 15mm closer
