me up! Looking for these for my partner's bike, we want to plump up from
32s.
Thanks!

Lots of good stuff in this review. I'm happy to finally know that the head
tube angle is 69 degrees. That seems about right, and having someone
corroborate the ride qualities I've been experiencing with my Gus:

Inquiring of you venerable [RBW] list members if anyone might have an

Thanks again to everyone for sharing specifications and philosophies.
Putting in a nice ride this weekend on plenty of unpaved stuff my 44mm
Snoqualmie Pass extralights were comfortable and suited for the ride.

Looking for a 90 or 100mm Technomic Deluxe or NP stem with a 26mm clamp.
Doesn’t need to be pristine, but does need to be in nice shape.
Please let me know if you have one or both to part with, Thanks!

Thanks, Bob. Yes, right to roam would be lovely and could be really helpful
for riders looking to stay off the bigger roads! I've heard that in some
Scandi countries (forgive me for not being specific) you can camp in any
open space and trespassing is defined as something like "you can get
I ordered the bar from Sycip earlier this week, I'll follow up with a ride
report after I've put some miles on it.

Thanks for the superb narrative, gear talk, and beautiful photos, Eric! So

Now if we only had some right-to-roam laws like in some of the northern
European countries...

I have Gravelking Slicks in 38 on my Sam and I really like them but want
more width the next time I buy tires for it.
I JUST put on Snoqualmie's on my Atlantis and already prefer them over the
Shikoros I had used for two years. I can see getting another pair for the
Sam when the GKs are worn
I forgot to mention I run all at 35psi.

I’ve used sidepulls and took no issue with them. I can’t claim to have
experienced any night and day differences. I just find that Paul center
pulls and levers have the best feel. They also maximize your clearances,
look sharp, and probably provide more powerful braking. In my opinion, they

I’m glad no damage to your Clem.

Thank you for measuring that, Bones! The official spec on the racks on
buses here says the maximum supported wheelbase is 46”. 118.75 cm
translates to 46.75”. Argh, I’m tempted to think that the extra 0.75”
should be fine ™.

Roberta,
It’s interesting to see that the Homers reach 43” at the 54.5 cm size. I am
interested in wheelbase numbers for the exact same reason, although I live
in a suburb. Riding around, and especially commuting, is a lot more
convenient if I have the option of riding the bus back home or to the

That's you on the Riv Ride up Mt. Diablo around 2006. Everyone gathered
around after you rode a singlespeed to the ranger station muttering "that's
impressive, but he's CRAZY."

Bill laid out a good summary of the different ways people approach this
question.
I've only ever owned a single Rivendell - my 2004 Quickbeam.
- As an answer to "what one Riv would you have among other bikes," it
would be my Quickbeam. I have this. If I had TWO bikes, the Quickbeam would
