Hakone! I can second that. It is wonderful up there. The special train you

It seems like that kind of like what this is by default. There was once a
time when there were few good flat pedals on the market and now it seems
wide open with just so many great options. Its odd to see new variations

[RBW] FS: Rivendell Silver cranks, White Industries chainring

2023-09-25 Thread Artaud
I have a barely used (maybe 30 miles?) Rivendell Silver 2 piece crankset
with 32/22 chainrings, 172mm. Bottom bracket included (and never
installed). The small ring was taken off and never used.
>From last summer's Rivendell restock, and currently out of stock. $230 +
shipping.
I also have a brand new White Industries TSR silver chainring, 42t. $65 +
shipping.

Re: [RBW] Deal alert: Five Ten cycling shoes on sale ($63)

2023-09-25 Thread Richard Rose
My experience with several pairs of 5/10’s. Fantastic grip & overall durability. Big, sharp pins without any significant damage to the Stealth soles. Freerider’s I size up 1/2 size. I can wear a 9 but my 9.5’s are better. Freerider pro size up at least 1/2 size. I did and it’s a very snug shoe. That’s certainly a very good deal.Sent from my iPhoneOn Sep 25, 2023, at 12:37 PM, Kim H. wrote:@Brian,Are these shoes true to size ?Kim Hetzel. On Monday, September 25, 2023 at 9:35:17 AM UTC-7 Kim H. wrote:@Brain - I thank-you for your feedback and information about the FIVE TEN soles. [RBW] PSA: New MKS Pretzel pedals coming out next month

2023-09-25 Thread Kim H.
I came across these new MKS Pretzel pedals, while looking for something
else on the MKS website. They definitely look like they a twist to them,
like a pretzel. Curious as to whether or not they would accept the cage
extension that currently RBW sells.

[RBW] Re: Shiny front derailleur for 42/28 Silver crankset

2023-09-25 Thread Drew Saunders
When changing my Riv from 3x9 to 2x11, with a New Albion 26/42/chainguard
setup, instead of using my Suntour XC Pro FD (which probably would have
worked just fine), that I've been using for ~25 years, I opted for an older
"road" double. I found a really nicely cleaned up Campagnolo Croce d'Aune
FD from c. 1990 on eBay from the UK, and it shifts just fine. It's also
very shiny! I've always liked having a mix of manufacturers, so although a
similar Dura Ace or Ultegra would be just as good, I wanted a Campy part
because I didn't have any other Campy parts on this bike.

So, any good "road double" from the friction front shifter era would
probably be great.
