1) The car drivers don't see me. They don't look for cyclists or
pedestrians. A pedestrian in a crosswalk is as novel as a Panda bear to

I suspect you're right. I rode to work this morning against an 18 mph
headwind that was coming at me diagonally (which made balancing
interesting). Sand was peppering my legs and I had a layer at the end of

Interesting article. I do notice that I am considerably grumpier if I
can't cycle every day.
But why not? Life happens outside of plans :) It isn't about the
destination but the journey.

I had a set of Honjo fluted fenders. Although they were extremely light
weight and beautiful, I can personally attest they were neither quiet nor
hearty. The first time a pebble rattled through one of the fenders, it
