[RBW] FS: Small HubbuHubbuh tandem

2019-06-24 Thread David Crowell
I mentioned this bike on here once before. Everyone agreed it would be a great deal, but it seems those who want one already have one. So, small (fits me fine at 5'10", but my stoker is 5'1") HubbuHubbuh with SON dynohub, Nitto front rack, Wald basket, B headlight, Rich Lesnick wheels, and

Yep, it's a deal, but I also know that selling niche market bikes like this is difficult. On Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 3:57:24 PM UTC-4, Max S wrote: > > Omg, this is an amazing deal. We love ours - ride it with wife and kids... > so much fun! > > - Max “idontneedtwotandemsbutmaybe...” in

[RBW] FS: Riv HHH Tandem (small)

2018-10-20 Thread David Crowell
Due to life changes, this bike has barely been ridden. It's a small size (Grant's recommendation: I'm 5'10", my wife, 5'1") blue-ish color. SON hub, rear disc brake, Schwalbe SuperMoto tires, Brooks saddles. It's been parked in my kitchen for nearly a year. I don't have any pictures

I rode a friend's Quickbeam a few years ago. I enjoyed it. I ended up buying an All-City Space Horse frameset and having that built into a single-speed. It has canti brakes and semi-horizontal dropouts. I like the way it rides more than the QB.Different build and personal preference

[RBW] Re: Finally building up the Hubbah Hubbah- any tips?

2017-10-20 Thread David Crowell
I don't think the timing chain is that big of a deal. I have an old crappy tandem with an eccentric bottom bracket. Adjusting it's not been difficult. My HHH is on order. I do intend to let my bike shop handle the build though - mostly due to front derailleur issues (I'm lousy at that part)

[RBW] Re: Dyno hub/light vibrations through handlebars question...

2015-05-09 Thread David Crowell
The vibration is normal. Where the light is mounted makes no difference, but the amount of current it's pulling can. If you like to leave your headlight on, the lights with daytime running-lights should reduce vibration during the day. I have an older SON28 powering a BM Cyo and I can feel

That's too nice of a bike for Gravel Grovel. I did that race twice and enjoyed it. I'm not doing it this year. On Thursday, October 30, 2014 11:05:33 AM UTC-4, Avery Wilson wrote: For anyone who loves seeing fat knobbies on a roadish bike, here you go! https://flic.kr/p/pSvngY 61cm
