Leslie, is your frame painted the same color as the Orange Rambouillet?
Did you have it painted or did it come from Riv like that? If I ever get
my Hunqapillar repainted it will match the original Rams.

Always loved the ram, especially the orange color ones. If I ever have my

I feel your pain. When I received my Hunqapillar I went to install he front
Canti brakes. The left side screw went in over half way but wouldn’t snug up
and as I tried to tighten it a little more the bolt sheared off at the head.
It’s almost as if it wasn’t threaded all the way. Talk about

The orange Ram was my dream bike but they quit making it by the time i could
afford one so i got a Hunqapillar. If i ever get it repainted it will be the

Here is the one I built up for my son a few years ago. I found the
frame on Ebay. Of course it is lugged. I put 20x1/1/8 wheels and
tires on it. The rear wheel is built up with a Shimano Sante' 7 speed
hub and there is a Shimano 600 rear derailler. It required standard
reach brakes. I think
Yep, mega range freewheel. No problem shifting at all. I generally
only use it if Im in the small chain ring. I dont shift into it
unless Im going up a steep hill. Its only there if I need it.

I am sick as a dog. Just got my Tektro cr720 brakes in and got the
rear ones on no problem. Start putting one of the front ones in and
the bolt threads fine the first 3/4 of the way then starts to get
tight and as I tighten it a little more the head shears off. What do

Frame and fork arrived today. I almost tackled the UPS man when he got
off the truck. Wow!. the quality of this frame is unbelievable.
Ive had a Trek 720 and a Specialized Expedition and this puts those to
shame hands down. Can't wait to start building it up.

When I was on bike patrol I would have loved to have a Rivendell. I
actually took one of our first steel Trek mountain bikes with a rigid
frame/fork that was in storage and made some modifications. I drilled
out the holes where the reflectors were and mounted some long reach
ultegra brakes,
