I have a sergio green platypus and the color is much more like the riv pics
than the blue lug image — the tan sidewalls on the wtb tires looks off as
well.
rest assured, sergio green is a lovely color in person (imo)

I was able to squeeze extra chunky ESI grips over the bar end shifter/cable
on my albas, but I didn't love those grips (slippery and not durable).
I didn't notch the grip to provide a channel for the cable, and as nitpicky
as I can be, I really didn't find it to be an annoyance.

Glad to see he's making longer content for YouTube, as I've also been
following him on IG for little while now and have been enjoying his bike
videos.
He's got a couple very sweet Rivs and a gift for filming and editing
bicycle content.

I appreciate that info, Josh! I'm in a similar situation with my Platypus —
I'd like to add a dynamo, but I don't necessarily want to have mismatched
rims, nor do I want my original front wheel just hanging on the wall. I had
no idea what it'd cost to have the hub swapped on the existing wheel.
I recently installed a *Shimano XTR RD-M960 SGS* on my Platypus and it
feels fantastic with the Suntour power ratchet
(there is no ferrule on the cable here bc I wanted to wrap the chainstay
first)

Bike Snob owns a Homer and a Platypus, and his wife has a Clem. I often see
his Homer locked up.
His blog, along with his endless praise for his Platypus, convinced me to
finally purchase one last year.
He's also praised step-thru bicycles in a past article
What a lovely bicycle! Appreciate the close up photos with the snowy
backdrop — I can't get enough

Looking good! I too was pleasantly surprised how silent the rear hub is.
You're making me want a frame pump :)

a ride out to the beach with a stop at any of the aforementioned spots is
always fun. I personally like hitting up spumoni gardens on the way back.
grand army plaza @ prospect park is a good meet up spot for a ride like
