Turns out they won’t work from the lower eyelets regardless of tilt. At least not without replacing the bolts and adding spacers at the to all the connections. On Thu, Jul 10, 2014 at 6:29 PM, Bill Lindsay tapebu...@gmail.com wrote: I'm pretty sure they intend you to use one irish strap for

For what it's worth, my Gunnar with the HAR installed, still fit on my car's roof rack this morning, using a QR style mount on the fork tips. Most lowrider racks prevent you from putting your bike on that type of roof-rack mount. On Wednesday, July 9, 2014 9:06:01 PM UTC-7, Bill Lindsay

For sure the HAR will connect to the lower eyelets. It just won't be level, most likely. Not being level won't cause any problem besides looking tilted. On Tuesday, July 8, 2014 9:08:24 PM UTC-7, john muhl wrote: Both my Atlantis and Betty Foy have double eyelets but I did call before

It shouldn't be all *that *hard to create a small L-shaped fitting that screws to the lower eyelets and provides upper eyelets *and* replacement lowers. It would take about 1.5 sq inches of sheet metal, max, a saw, and a drill. You could also make it out of aluminum and thread it it. Lots of

Good trick, making an eyelet-doubler. Careful with loading and angles, don't want it moving around. RivHQ told me my Sam wasn't designed for substantial front loads therefore recommended Nitto mini+small basket not Nitto BFR+big basket. Seen a lot of big ones since, so might as well save $ and

The Hub Area Rack fits best on an eyelet above the fork tip and on mid-fork braze ons. Will it fit your bike? Most current Riv models have fork tips with double eyelets. If you buy a brand new A Homer Hilsen, Hunqapillar, Cheviut, Hillborne, or Atlantis, you are going to get double eyelet

I've encountered similar issues with other Nitto front racks. They work well on many bikes, but may require clamps or other custom solutions. I'm having a dickens of a time trying to mount a front rack for lowriders on my girlfriend's San Marcos. Obviously, this bike wasn't designed to be front

Both my Atlantis and Betty Foy have double eyelets but I did call before ordering and was told (can’t remember who at RBW answered) that mounting them to the lower eyelets (on my Saluki) should work just fine. They’re due to arrive on the 10th so I’ll find out for sure then. On Tue, Jul 8, 2014
