I had the same drag on my 650b converted Riv Road with Longboards mounted with Sheldon nuts. The short flap is the perfect solution. Sheldon nuts make fenders so much easier. Those SKS fenders were lost when the rear ate a stick and accordioned under the brakes. FYI, my wheel did lock up but I

Bill, Yes, I meant front only, with 650B. Even after switching the fender mounting tang to the front of the fork, I still drag the flap on the ground sometimes which causes it to fold up under the tire and rub annoyingly. I then have to stop and fix it. I don't see how it would be that
