On my 56cm Sam I rode 700x50mm Schwabel G-One Allround tires (VO Voyager
rims which are slightly wider than Atlas rims) - no problems. But I
wouldn’t have ridden any wider tires. 2mm+ gap between tires and frame. But
I was just as happy riding 44mm Snoqualme pass tires before that.
On Monday,
Yes, as a single speed with White ENO eccentric RH.

You may want to ask yourself why you care if a person with a bicycle wants
the biggest possible tires on said bicycle. Your "irrational" may be
another person's "perfectly rational", such are the vagaries of life.

and as always the answer is the same . "well do ya' feel lucky today
?" Some people are okay with a couple of mm's clearance, most are not.
Just ask yourself, what are you really gaining, is a few mm's really going
700x50 Gravelkings rubbed, but just barely, on my old size 60 Waterford
