I don't remember the street names but in the little housing area south
of Ventura and west of Laurel
We could work out one a similar ride, but shift it north a bit, the
further you are away from the city the less cars you see for sure.

climbing out on the Hollywood side, I headed over to Benedict Canyon
which is a nice long climb

cut through Topanga (or was it Temescal?) in order to avoid so much
distance on PCH, which can be hairy with all the Mel Gibson-style
daytime drunks.
It would be great if we could figure out a way to tack on that kind of
It would likely have been Topanga. I have done that variation as well.
The ride down Rambla Pacifica and Las Flores from the top of Stunt is
fantastic though. I don't like to spend too much time on PCH either.
You could also hop onto the Topanga fireroad on the way down which
adds quite a bit more

Yeah, I was gonna say. Because that isn't any Mulholland that I know.
Where is that stretch of Mulholland and why haven't I found it yet?

Hmmm, sounds like a lot of responsibility. It would be fun to link-up
some gravel and Stunt Rd. ... Have to think about that, :)
