I have to say after a slightly longer than S24O that the ballance between
lightweight and hearty is perfect. The double wall is brilliant. It kept my

I've been using an aeropress for almost two years and until this moment I
couldn't figure out how to use the funnel.

My new ACW mug made it in to the office today. Should have commuted on the
orange XOXO I suppose, to be matchy, but Riv content preserved with SH in
the background, sporting its new ACW pin on the handlebar bag no less.

I got mine today! Somehow the lanyard makes it. Also got a couple cool ACW
stickers and a pin. Stickers are already on the bike; first ever on the seat
post.
Very cool,
Philip

Neil,
I have more up now! I just finished getting the lanyards on them. I like to
have them totally ready to go before adding stock. Although I will
admit...these are going MUCH faster than I expected.

A bandanna!?! I'll need to get a dedicated coffee one then... mine get a
fair amount of grit, grime, grease and sweat all over them as is! Then
again I did get a 100 pack of filters so that might keep me in business for
a while.

Tony,
I've not done a taste test of our organic cotton bandana material my wife
sews the filters from, but they sure work great. Or, yes, just use a
bandana and don't mess with sewing it into the cone shape (but a bandana is
a lot bigger than the Helix needs, or a full sized drip cone for that
Got mine too! Very fast shipping. It's a great looking cup, definitely
'petite' size compared to my normal in house mug's but I think it'll do
nicely w/ my Helix as sweet pour over kit. Stay tuned for it to star in
some coffee outdoors shots coming to the list soon! :)

I struggle with this too. Cleaning it trailside has not worked well. Now I
just bring it home. I shake out the grounds best I can, then fold it up and
seal in the container I use to carry my coffee. Once home I clean
everything proper. This works fine for an out and back, but not for

Och! The funnel. Forgot that even existed. Thank you Jeff and Brad! What an
easy fix.
Any similarly brilliant suggestions for a low water way to clean my fabric

Glad it arrived quick for you!
The aeropress works fine if you use the base/funnel and is very sturdy. I
too prefer a pourover while on the bike. I've been using a collapsable
silicone jobbie, but want to get a helix.
I MUCH prefer the shape and insulation too. Stainless should be far tougher

I"ve too many enamel mugs to buy another just because of some sweet logo,

In an interesting and related development, I'll actually be drinking
caffeinated coffee or tea (Scottish Breakfast!) in this, as my recent
baby-step healing included caffein helping rather than blowing up my brain.

Wow! Just in time to be my birthday mug! Order placed. That is one amazing
looking mug, and if it functions anything like the double walled stainless
steel mug (at 20 oz, way too big for bike packing) I have, it will be
stunningly functional too! Thanks!
With abandon,
Patrick
