I may be missing something here, but if your computer is old/weird enough to still have an onboard CD/DVD drive you can rip your own digital files from your own CDs for zero cost. If you don't have an onboard drive, $15-$35 or so will buy you a separate/portable one. No need to beg/pay folks

Have you given Spotify a shot? You can "download" albums and songs for offline listening, plus lots available for streaming when you're in service. Not the same as having it on a hard drive but pretty nice for when you're going down the road feeling bad. Love The Pizza Tapes and the lore
