Another recommendation is to wear those ankle reflectors. Good luck!

NiteRider Lumina 1200 headlight and Planet Bike Superflash taillight. The
NiteRider is better than the light I had, but I am not entirely happy with
the shape and strength of the beam, especially in the fog. Maybe it doesn't
get better. I don't know.

Jim, that's got to be one of my favorite Riv's. I really love the
contrasting darker blue head tube. Was that the original paint scheme or
something you came up with for the repaint?

Matt,
You stated that it has slightly different measurements than some of the
geometry stated on Riv’s charts. I actually like that Grant and company made
modifications/adjustments/improvements to many of their models over the years.
However your measurements (although probably accurate).
Approximately 7.5 cm.

I'm going to run my Schwalbe Ones in a 28 and a second set with a 32 file

2. What's the stand over height?

Hi Matt, thanks for offer but that would be too big for me. In any event, the
bike is now sold.
FYI, the Ram won’t handle 35mm with fenders. It’s a great bike but it’s in fact
one of the reasons that I sold it, for want of more tire clearance.

I am also a fan of the Light & Motion Urban series. USA built, good
components, good customer service. I have the Urban 700 and 900. I use them
on high once in a while, otherwise the medium setting works well for
leisurely rides around town.

I second a cygolite metro for a cheapish battery light for dark rides. Make
sure you keep the batteries charged though. Nothing worse than trying to
navigate home on a light that is quickly fading away. I rode with a cygolite

You did not mention the size of your Clem L and as Joe mentioned the tube
size may vary by bike size. My August, 2019 Clem L 52 also requires a

bottom, approximately 28.6 at the top.

Jay, you think you'd be up to trade the frame for a near-new 61 Roadini
frame? Maybe a long shot (literally - I'm in Louisiana) but I'm looking for
just slightly shorter chainstays and the ability to run 35s with fenders.
They're similar enough in spec that all the parts but the seatpost will
I had an Edelux II which was excellent. However, I didn’t ride for an extended

Other is 750 lumens. Both are about 4 years old and still

I really like the BM Eyc for city riding. It works well with either a

Hi Jeffrey,
Standover at mid-point (TT has a slight rise back to front) is 31 inches with
the knobbies on.
Tire size is 26 x 2.1..I would say there's room for maybe 2.3 up front, a
little more in the rear. Add a smidge more if you're running smooth street
tires.
