Hey Matthew,
Bars are Simworks getaround which I had laying around. This is a 61cm Toyo.
Not sure of the year. The tires are 2.1 TB's. The blunt 35's are great
though. Amazingly light and wide! First time I've been able to get a tire
to measure to their stated width. I have a little room in

Thank you for the recommendation. Not sure what happened to my post but I'm
in the market for glasses and this is helpful.

Hey Doug, if you're a fathead like me I have WAY too many Oakleys you might be
interested in. They're rather unfortunately called "Asia Fit" by the company,
but they work great on non-Asian me: most regular shades fit too tight at my

Yeah... that's an odd one.
If you click through the site, their twitter link is dead. Nuthin' on the
FB.
The company url whois says it was last updated in January of this year.
It's a pretty roundabout scam if it is one.
Company url shows an...ahem... VERY different bias towards frame materials

Good grief.
They even bought a url and made a site.
I think the poor bike is being held hostage.

Looks like clementine bicycle works is a real company. The seller likely
doesn’t know what they’ve got, stolen or otherwise.

Yeah. That is my experience as well.
Mostly it's about the weight between fore/aft.
They tend to be speed-specific. They'll happen at 18 mph, but not at 17,

$700 for a black Clementine, sheesh! I should go nab that, then do a "did

they lost it.

Dearest Friend,
Is this happening on the used Homer you bought or the new-from-riv
Appaloosa? I bought my Cheviot used on this list, and it got speed wobble
at certain speeds down hills. Later, I got in an accident and bought a new
fork from Rivendell, and the bike no longer wobbles. I

The question now is do I go get a great deal on a Clementine after having just
sold a Clem L frame, the logic being I saved money because it's only $700!*

I have both bikes and set up the Cheviot as the around town
shopper/commuter with basket and Albastache bars. I set up the Homer with
drop bars and can do more sprightly riding with it. This is a great two
bike combo.

Morning all,
Seems like in my memory on the Riv site I recall they used to have a couple
of general parts groups, that they would offer when you ordered a frame.
Vaguely remembering something like a "typical economical group" or a
slightly more expensive group. Obviously I know they will build up
I don't know about each other, but they'll both certainly draw a lot of
compliments from bystanders (even from 6+ feet away)!
In seriousness, yes; provided they're set up differently enough from each
other. Cheviot as a commuter with racks and swept-back bars, Homer with
drops, for example.
Good call Steve. I've always referred to the BQ Weigle article too. I like
how Anton has taken a deeper dive into the install process.
Patience goes a long ways as well.

As Reid says you can set them up differently, but really they're the same bike
with varying toptube heights. The only reason I can see to have both is if you
just really like that style of bike - lugged Riv with road brakes - and are
into the names and paint on both.

I think estate sale is likely. That's a 4-ish-year-old bike now, and quite
possibly was purchased by an older person looking for a step-thru at the time.

Sorry, I'm late to the discussion, but these bone conduction headphones are
amazing. They work best in the higher register--the bass is not so great.

Well, I’m definitely loving it so far. For all the “small differences” I

I've never found that wheel alignment, which is actually frame alignment,
has any effect on wobble. If the frame is out of alignment the two wheels
will not follow the same line when the bike is moving in a straight line.
For example, if the rear wheel is tracking to the right of the front wheel

it seemed to just google the downtime name.

surrounding brightness. I can't say I've noticed the light transmission
