Is anyone running a 1x11 on a roadini? Thinking of building one for some
centuries and/or light rando rides. Wondering if anyone has done this and has
any tips.
Yes, I know, compact doubles and/or 2x is kind of standard. Let me live my life

Thanks ahead of time —

Got the new MUSA pants yesterday.
For reference, I am 6"2, 220ish pounds, stocky build and the Large's fit
fantastic. Yes they are more snug than past iterations, but that guarantees
I will basically live in them. Super comfy out of the box, they go with
everything and haven't "slipped" down my
Yeah, me also -- really excited for it! Looks like it'll be the "utility"
sweater for commuting, long rides, etc.

Ok OK -- I have a couple Riv's and I imagine, like most people, I've
dreamed about building more than I actually own (I have gotten rid of lots
of bikes, but never yet gotten rid of a Riv) --
So, with dreams of touring in my mind, I've been pricing out the build at
around 4-5k depending upon the
Hi all --
So, I'm thinking about a touring/gravel/all-road'y type bike I can put
gigantic tires on, load up if I want, or not. I'm not a small person.
I'm also thinking about waiting for Crust to re-up their line, but I have a
Quickbeam and a Roadini and I smile every time I get on either one of
That’s a beaut of a Riv in the park!
Here’s a roadini on the wall in my house (just put up this wall hanger and I
like it!)
More action pics, but I just took this one!

Have to agree. I have a 2x1 roadini that it looks like the folks at Riv built
up for fun (33 1/3 Jack Browns are nice!) — I added towel crust rack bars on
it, front dynamo, rear swift zeitgeist (with Carradice rack for quick
breakaway...) and I’ve been riding pretty much everything in and
Hi folks --
I am retooling my drive train on my Roadini -- this will be my "fast bike"
and potentially used in whatever we are calling rando rides these days
(pending any actual group rides happening again).
Looking for suggestions on a 1-11 drivetrain -- 11-46? 11-42? I'm in DC, so

My two cents -- they fit exactly like stretchy dickies.
I am 6'2, 220 (36/32 pants) and fairly stocky/broad (played rugby for a
long time) and the larges are just tight enough to not be obviously
'riding' pants. They fit really, really well. So well, that I -- a person
who rarely wears bike-stuff
I have the same QB and run a Marks rack with Wald large basket up front. Added
a sackville and it is what I use to grocery shop.
I also added a carradice bagman and swift zeitgeist under the saddle and that
works for my work/gym stuff.
I also recommend honjos — they look awful nice on the
Hey Huston --
I have one I'd be willing to sell you. Just didn't work out for my setup,
so I never really used it.
I am with my gf on vacation, so I won't be able to sell it until I am back
in DC next Saturday, but if you want it, you got it. Brand new.

This is a good thread --
On my Quickbeam, I use a locker on my front and rear wheel, which gives me
a bit more piece of mind -- and is pretty bomb proof. Additionally, I use a
Kryptonite U-lock between rear wheel and frame. I live in DC and this has
been a pretty good solution.
For my Roadini, I
Thanks Jan -- I think this is exactly the place for it.

Yes. It is glorious.
For those that haven't gotten theirs and the inevitable second run comes --
on sizing: I am 6'2, 215, 34 inch waist (44 long sport coat) and the Large
fits very well. It is stretchy, but if I was going to wear it over a few
layers, I might have sized up. However, it fits so
Got my sweater - All I can say is that there are few things that I purchase
that I absolutely know I will be wearing A LOT -- this is one of them.
I know it's sold out, but BOYO is this a nice item (also, put a few Riv
buttons on it bc why not)...

Hello Hello --
Wondering what folks are running on their Roadini. I have Jack Browns and
they are a great tire, but looking at options, wondering what folks are
running? Anyone in the 40s?

Hi all —
I have a large and bc my body is what it is, it fits me but it is not my cup of
tea. I would sell my large if anyone wanted it — it is a great sweater but just
doesn’t fit me (I definitely got a vest though!)
Currently on vacation for a week in Vermont so just email me and I will ship
Was there a picture I missed? I am super excited as a QB ownerclearance for

Hi folks --
OK, my Jack Brown's are on their last legs. Is anyone running 38s -- if so,
any reflections? Any pics?
Thanks,

Hi everyone --
I recently saw a post on Instagram (which I have subsequently lost track
of) that showed a QB rocking Ultradynamico 700ccs (I think they were the
Rosè racers).
As I am in the market for some new rubber I thought -- WOWZA -- that would
be fun. So, I'm throwing myself at the mercy
I have two Rivs and picking up a Hubbah this Sunday! Lots of us in DC area!

I agree with this sentiment. My 58cm QB is my “core” bike. Hills, long rides, errands — it does most of what I want from a bike and does it very well. Keeping this one is a good idea…Sent from my iPhoneOn Aug 27, 2023, at 11:27 AM, Benjamin L. Kelley wrote:Honestly, if I was somehow forced to
Howdy folks --
The time has come to part with my Roadini bc...well I never ride it and
though I've built it up tastefully (IMO at least) and it rides like an
absolute dream, I am thinning the herd a bit. I'm in DC, but can ship if
needed -- also happy to give you fine people a high resolution
Thanks Thomas --
I actually just dropped the price to 2500 which I think is a pretty dang
good deal. Bike rides amazingly well.
