[RBW] Re: OTT: 10 speed X Wide Low(2x)?

2018-01-23 Thread akshay orthofeet

I have diabetes, wide feet, and flat arches. This dilemma has put me on a
lifelong quest for a truly comfortable shoe. My quest has ended at last !
Orthofeet shoes are remarkable! After a full
day on my feet, it's like I haven't even had shoes on! My feet have never
been happier!

2017-05-21 Thread Jay Connolly
I have a White Industries 46/30 crank, which I paired with a drop bar and
11-speed brifters, an 11-speed MTB derailleur (M8000), an 11-40 rear cassette,
and a Wolf Tooth Tanpan ratio converter. Works flawlessly and gives me 20-115
gear inches on a 2x setup.

I appreciate the input . I going with a 1x drivetrain but may experiment with
using 2 rings up front . Im told that it can work with my new crust evasion
frame , but only up to a 2.8.

2017-05-07 Thread David F. Beach
Kojaks flat less than any other tires I have. I’m big (215 pounds) and ride
over bad pavement. I get very few flats with the Kojaks. I get a few more
flats with the Barlow Pass and Stampedes on my other bikes. The Compass tires
are still great tires, fun and fast to ride, but do seem to flat a bit more.
Not a big deal.

They are nice tires, and if I did't have the 559 Compass Elk Pass
available, I'd be using the 559 X 1.35" version on the 2003. (I use the 406
bsd version on the Hon Solo.) They are one of the very few tires I've used
that roll *pretty* well, yet that can be ridden here in goatheadland
without sealant.

[RBW] Re: OTT: 10 speed X Wide Low(2x)?

2017-05-06 Thread Nick Payne

I'm using a Sugino XD crank with 38/26 chainrings and an 11-speed chain
(11-40 11s cassette). No problems at all with the chain skating or sticking
between the chainrings. The only crank on which I've had such problems was
when using a 10-speed chain and cassette with TA Cyclotouriste crank and
chainrings, and I fixed that by reducing the thickness of the spacers
between the chainrings to 3mm.

[RBW] Re: OTT: 10 speed X Wide Low(2x)?

2017-05-05 Thread Orc
I've done a 10-speed chain with a Sugino 0x801d, which is similarly meant
for up to 9 speed. Biopace, so I couldn't do anything fancy with the
rings to get them closer together, but no chain suck, even with 48/28
chainrings.
