Regarding your repaint, a friend had a metallic root beer brown bike with

Wow! Bet that could even make your old look speedometer look great. Any
way to retrofit?
Do you know what it was a protovelo of? Hilson? The lugwork looks too
fancy to be an early Hillborne unless that is where they started. Just
curious.
