Thanks for the 2 RR articles. I vaguely remember these, but not paying
full attention at the time. GP was certainty besting the 650B drum at the

Compass has just increased their 42mm tire by 1.5mm so the fit will only
get tighter. You might want to try some older ones. The 1.75" Pari-moto is
measuring between 40-41mm for most people on a rim like the synergy.

I've used the VO Zeppelin fenders with 42s. There was not a ton of room under
the fender but it worked fine.

I had an early 50 canti Saluki, but found it too small; then sold it and
got a 54 sidepull Saluki; My pbh 79.5; the 54 fits better. I liked the
cantilever brakes better though because they stopped better and opened
easier. And I like the 650B wheel size. However these days I'm beg
Saluki was made In Osaka by Toyo. Hilsens are made in WI by Waterford. GP has
said build quality is equal at both places back when some frames were coming
from both places, but the tubing used is different in each location. Saluki
used high quality Japanese tubing. I don't know what tubing W'For
