[RBW] Re: anybody tried WTB Riddlers?

2019-08-27 Thread 'Tony McG' via RBW Owners Bunch
I will be anxious to hear how the Riddlers compare to the Cazaderos. I have
a new set of tubless 45 Riddlers in my tire stash, but I was able to
squeeze the 50 Cazaderos on my Toyo Atlantis and I absolutely love them.

I have the 700c x 45 Riddlers on my Bianchi Project 5 and I think that
they're wonderful.

[RBW] Re: anybody tried WTB Riddlers?

2019-08-23 Thread Adam Leibow
i really like this tire. i, too, had the 700x45 version and used them on my
black mountain cycles MC and then my Sam Hillborne. they roll fast but
still offer great traction in dry dirt (both loose & hardpack) conditions.

two things to note based on my experience:
1. the center tread wears quickly because it is thin.
2. the side knobs are so built up that cornering can feel "unique" at
times. as in, you turn sharply and find that the tire stops leaning at a
certain point. this is only a problem on the road. what you lose in road
turning capability you gain in offroad traction. ymmv or whatever.

2019-08-20 Thread Kalmia Vt
I've had the 700x45 Riddlers on my Appaloosa for a year. I'm very happy
with them for mixed terrain Vermont riding - dirt, pavement, loose sandy
gravel, muddy town roads, under-biking forays on abandoned forest roads. -
