I was just picking up on where everybody is located. The cold weather boys like
vaseline, and obviously you warm weather folks need the grease.
I think this affects the battery sizing debate too: if I size a battery for 4
days storage, it only has 2 or 3 days of storage in really cold weather.
I've seen that leakage to ground on almost all flooded cell batteries. A
battery expert told me it was a fine mist of battery acid that clanged to the
case of the battery and caused this few milliamps of short.
The only systems I've seen that didn't have this were either very new/ clean

commissioning we remove the fuse, squeeze the GFDI fuse holder a little tighter
and clean the contact ends of the fuse. Fires right up.
