Hello wrenches
We have a customer that wants us to promise kWh generation on a system, by
relying on just an irradiance sensor.
I think that a cell temperature sensor should be used as well to get a more
accurate picture of the actual weather conditions that the array will
experience. I'm
Hi Wrencher's
I am working on a system with 10 inverters. The output of all 10 single
phase inverters will be combined in a main lug only panel located on the 8th
floor (each inverter will have a 2 pole breaker). The MLO Panel will be
protected by a fused switch located in the basement. Does
Al,
Are the inverters located inside on the 8th floor with the MLP panel or are

I had a similar situation in Minnesota, my local inspector was puzzeled but the
regional inspector said ABSOLUTLY the solar equipment has to be shut off with
no more than 6 motions of the hand. I combined the AC into a panel of 12
breakers, with one main (i had 12 inverters). For the DC side
I don't know if this is what you are looking for or not, however Dr. Perez in Albany NY was working on developing a weather based performance guarantee for NY. It may help with your research.

It is interesting to ask, do the disconnects required by 690.14 (D) also
have to comply with or be counted in with 690.14 (4) and (5).
690.13 and 690.14 are pretty confusing in the use of the term disconnect.
