will
become the norm, and this issue will become history.
My issue was that I was unable to explain why this grounding needed
to be done, or to suggest other possible solutions, due to not
knowing the wording or the source of the requirement. It is sort of
an unusual situation.
Cheers,
Drake
Hi William,
So is there no document we can read that delineates the actual
requirements? The standard methods of module bonding that we use
don't always seem logical. Engineers on a recent job had similar feelings.

The drop in voltage usually indicates that the inverter is trying to
pick up the generator. Are you certain that the inverter is not
grabbing the generator's AC input, slowing the rpms and then letting
it go of the gen feed because the frequency is knocked out of spec?

with an AC coupled SI setup, the protected loads panel would receive
full power from the Sunny Boys when the sun is shining.

It depends on wire size. 314-16 is good for wires up to number 6.

Why is the system worry free? Don't the coils thermo siphon into a

The charge control looks like the mercury switch that was used for a
charge control on the old Ananda / APT power centers. Does anyone
know the rating of the charge controls used on these units?

Thank you Tom. I don't know if it is the same or not. It seems like
