SW4024 inverter and is considering an upgrade. I need some advice.
One of his problems with his present system is that he can't run his 3
HP 240VAC table saw on the 4024. He'd be content to run his generator

I have not been a fan of any Generac brand generators, especially their
low-cost, highly marketed residential stand-by generators. Although things
may have changed, these were very hard to use with a typical inverter's
2-wire remote start relay, most warranties were voided if used in off-grid

This is exactly how we installed many 10 and 12' fiberglass C-band satellite
antennas back in the 80's in Tulsa. None ever came down in tornado alley. I
recommend this method of pole mounting in Mexico due to frequent theft.

We use Unirac ULA. Good quality. We have winter use only systems in Mexico so
we set the arrays high for best production in January. You should have no
problem with 45°.

I've been using Direct Power and Water racks for ground mounting for some 14
years. Jeff offers a lot of support for custom needs/situations, easy to
assemble, can be adjustable (or fixed for a lower price). Never had any
issues, except very infrequently they'll forget to send some fasteners.

I am sure they have their reason but I have used them at that angle. The jobs
in Mexico don't ever get inspected but I've not had any failure.

Typically, diesel gennies require a block heater which can use as much
as 1000 watts. Unless this is a tremendously large off grid system it
won't be a good idea to go that way.
