The Grundfos 16SQF-10 will give you 12 to 13 gpm at 230 feet. But that is working at the upper edge of this pump's lift rating. Not sure that meets your definition of most of the 20 gpm. The maximum output current, 50 A, of the inverter system equals the locked rotor amps of a 2 HP motor.

Mac: We've dealt with this. The best solution is altitude. If there is any terrain on which you could put the tank, you save a lot of complexity. Alternatively, can the well pump deliver into a pressure tank, pre-pressurizing the water? This would also save a bunch of extra parts.
