Subject: [RE-wrenches] Vertical wall, shared rails
Hello Wrenches,
Wondering if any of you have ever done anything similar to installing on a
vertical wall using a horizontal shared rail racking system, array being
about 32.8m (110') wide
Yes, laser level does the trick. Also--don't forget to consider
expansion/contraction of a single rail dimension. In Minnesota we would break
that long length into two or even three separate mounting sections with an inch
or two gap between. Don't forget, the building structure will also
I use a laser plumb, sit it on the ground over your marks and loft the
marks to the top. It will be very accurate.

I have taken adjustable
ground mount racks & flipped them upside down. They work great as long as you
got something safe to bolt securely to like unistrut or through like concrete.

Hey Bill,
I've spoken with a couple distributers of quality lasers (Leica, for
example) and explained the details and they agree the width and location we
are working at poise the real challenges here.
The laser beams get a fair bit more difficult to see in the daylight
(fortunately for this case
Ben,
There are a multitude of laser levels (in a multitude of forms)
available to do what I think you are trying to do.
The 110 feet might be an issue but if you are consistent you can
probably plot the location for halfway and then repeat the process for
the second half. Perhaps there is

The rails obviously have to be exactly perpendicular the entire length so
we are taking
