At my home I have an Iotawatt installed in my main panel. It has multiple inputs for CTs so individual home circuits can be monitored but I personally just use two CTs for my mains and one for my solar output. The installation of the physical equipment is extremely simple for anyone comfortable i

This is based upon my experience over the last five years.   I think there are a lot of installers who have mentioned EGauge.  It certainly can do a lot and the support historically has been very good.  Chris On 2/7/2021 12:37 PM, jay wrote: Hi All, I’m wondering what you recommend for whole

Sense is great. It does take a long time to learn appliances. Over a year in and mine at home is still learning some loads. But it picked up the big ones within a few months. Immediately you can see real time granular load data and you can easily surmise what the larger loads are. I was able to tak

Jay; I'm happy with the Emporia system, there's no hassle with the software trying to "learn" anything. I just installed one on an existing PV system that had 2 string inverter arrays, and 1 microinverter array added later. Each array had its own PV breaker in a PV subpanel, so it was really simple

Hi All, I’m wondering what you recommend for whole house energy monitors with solar option. There seem to be two basic types. Ones that use actual sensors on a number of the larger load circuits such as Emporia Vue. Which can do 16 circuits. Or ones that use an a program to “learn” what t
