HI All,
I’ve got a system with an outback FM-80 that is running at full power 48v.
Its connected to a outback 80 twin pole GFDI breaker.
The breaker is tripping due to running at 80 amps.
Is the midnite MNDC-GFP100RT-2P the only option?

If the inside of a 3R enclosure isn't considered dry enough for a buchanan
crimp/cap, then there's millions of 3R panels with breakers and busbars in
them that would have the same problem.

We've used both, and I've been less than satisfied with the Buchanan
crimp. I rate it better than wire nuts, but not near as good as
Polaris. Polaris type connectors have a separate connector for each
wire, so each wire's connection is independent, like a buss bar. The

I assume it’s a NYSERDA inspector that’s pushing back, correct? We’ve dealt
with this issue a number of times, and while I will argue until I’m blue in the
face that the code does not consider the inside of a properly installed NEMA 3R
enclosure a damp/wet location, NYSERDA has not

Some point back we transitioned from polaris lugs to buchanan crimps/caps
(doping our wires in noalox) for our jbox splices. I know there have been a
few conversations on here about this. Seems like a much more robust
connection than anything we have used prior. But now we have an
