We have done several of these systems with various inverter combinations. We
used a voltage activated relay in the stone age to switch inverters between
battery banks and the grid before the Trace SW came on scene. This little
switch opens and closes a relay based on user adjustable set points.
Daryl was right on the charge rates. What is not referenced is the
configuration of the battery bank.
Since it is a 24 volt system it could possibly have multiple series strings
paralled together. There will always be imbalances in the individual strings
resulting in higher resistance in one

A very simple way to do this is install a float in the tank you are pumping to
with a shutoff valve controlled by the float. Install a Square D pressure
switch with a DC rating by the pump. As the float rises to full in the tank
and chokes off the discharge outlet the pressure in the

The Grundfos switch is voltage only. I'm not sure I would run it 700 ft or not,
regardless. For that distance I would probably install a float switch in the
discharge tank that shut off the inlet flow and backed water pressure down the
pipe to a pressure switch located close to the pump. As the
