Another solution might be to use Bochs
http://bochs.sourceforge.net/
It's a full/real virtual machine, so it's quite slow. Also it takes some
time for tuning/configuring.
For this reason, I doubt it could be used seriously, but you could give
it a shot.

the IP for the proxy rather than the client. I will look into writing

I think I recall making that change in RH 8.0 or something similar to it. I'll look

I had the same problem as yours. My solution was to
use their SmartStart Disk to remove Compaq System Rom.
