In RedHat you use the rawwrite utility. You will see the related files and
utilities in a subdirectory on hte CD. It does bascially what the dd
command does.

You could do all of this in 7.0. Only problem is that at the end of the day,
while you can complete and install, you can not run an instance of the
database. At least I can not. I am hoping htis gets solved soon. Until it
does I am on 6.2.

Is there any information about running Oracle 8 on RH7? Given the new
